Thursday: Another Court date for Gamble future

On Thursday, May 27, 2010, 11:00am - 2:00pm at the Hamilton County Courthouse (downtown Cincinnati), Room 560, 1000 Main Street, Cincinnati, OH there will be yet another hearing on the future of the Gamble House.

While it is unknown whether or not Judge Norbert A. Nadel will make a final ruling at this time, what is known is that a Second Amended Complaint regarding the recent ordinance designating the Gamble House as a Local Historic Landmark is being presented by the Greenacres Foundation.

Since Green Acres has not yet had its appeal to the zoning board regarding the Landmark Designation it would appear Green Acres may be legally "jumping the gun" and no doubt that would be the argument by the city.

Gamble House supporters may want to attend this hearing. This is just the latest development since the city initially denied Greenacres application for demolition permit back in March. In the meantime local, state and national outrage over Greenacres foundation desire to demo this landmark historic structure grows stronger with many calling for a state Attorney Generals office investigation into the activities of Greenacres Foundation, a 501C3 Charitable non-profit, and possible removal of the Greenacres board of directors pending that investigation.
