New Series: Cincinnati West Side, a look back.

In honor of the upcoming West Side Preservation Summit, Saturday June 5th, we will, over the next two weeks, periodically provide some looks back at historical images of the west side of Cincinnati.

Today's images are from the Fairmount Area. If you have some old photos, or postcards, that provide a look back at West side neighborhoods or a little bit of history,we would certainly like to share them. Please email me at victiques@hotmail.com

Then called "Picturesque Waverly avenue", today Waverly has that same rural feel due to unnecessary demolition of 130 Yr old homes.
If you look carefully you can make out some of the steps going up the hillside. Today many of those steps are gone or obscured by invasive honeysuckle which now covers the hillsides and obstructs the grand views.
View from the Westwood car line of the Lick Run valley. The Train which took residents to the , then remote Town of Westwood.
Look for future additions to this series and please attend the West Side Preservation Summit.
