10 Bronze Gates Stolen From Columbus OH Mausoleum

Authorities think salvage thieves may have been responsible for the theft of 10 Bronze gates that were inside a Historic1927 Mausoleum in Columbus Ohio. The structure was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The bronze gates weighed 50 pounds each. The gates were stolen from the Green Lawn Abbey in Columbus early Monday.

Thieves broke a historic Stained Glass window to gain entry into the two-story mausoleum.

Its possible that someone could attempt to sell these outside the Columbus area like Cincinnati.
Anyone with information about the thefts can contact the sheriff's office detective bureau at 614-462-3350 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477.
