CPA Receivership workshop a great success.

Preservationists from across the city, attended the CPA (Cincinnati Preservation Association) workshop on receivership in Camp Washington on Saturday.

Workshop Participants tour one of the nearly completed homes that has been through the Receivership process.

Receivership is a legal process in which blighted property is placed into 'receivership' by a court for the purposes of remediation of the 'blight' condition. Camp Washington has used the receivership process very effectively over the years to gain control of blighted or abandoned property and bring them back from the brink. The workshop was very informative.

After the workshop we were given a tour of one of the houses being redone under the receivership process as well as tour of the Camp Washington neighborhood. I have only spent limited time exploring Camp Washington , and was pleasantly surprised to find a strong collection of architecture in a very stable neighborhood. Some photos from the tour.
